The Bend, 6 September 2025 – The excitement of racing at Australia’s newest motorsport facility set a perfect tone for the final round of the inaugural Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Australasia. Saturday has already witnessed some title victors leaving just one to be crowned on Sunday.
Antoine Gittany, Trofeo Pirelli winner: “If I win tomorrow, that’s it and I’ll win the title. I haven’t been to The Bend for three and half years, so it’s a matter of learning the track again, finding the brake markers as I get up to speed. I’ve just got to adjust my driving technique for tomorrow.”
Enzo Cheng, Coppa Shell winner: “I love The Bend, it has to be my favourite circuit on the calendar. That being said, I also find it pretty exhausting, especially around the triple right-hand corners. To seal the title with an outright win, I don’t think I could have done it any better. Going into every weekend, winning Coppa Shell was the priority, but taking on the likes of Antoine (Gittany) and Jim (Pollicina) emerged as my aim for the back half of the season. Beating them has given me bragging rights that’s for sure.”
Michel Stephan, Trofeo Pirelli 488 winner: “I was very lucky, as the driver in second spun out behind me and I joined him. It’s great to win the Trofeo Pirelli 488 title, so I guess next year is time for a 296 Challenge. I love this track and it’s perfect for these cars. It’s fast, it’s clean and it’s incredible racing.”
