Maranello, 31 agosto 2026 – Ferrari claimed an Am class victory in GT World Challenge America at Road America, while GT America brought podium finishes at the same circuit. At Okayama in GT World Challenge Asia, the Prancing Horse secured victory in the Silver class as well as a double podium in the Am class. Finally, the Maranello cars took an overall one-two finish and a class victory in the two Japan Cup races held at the same circuit.
In Pro-Am, Triarsi Competizioni’s number 18 Ferrari, driven by Sebastian Mascaro and Riccardo Agostini, was among the front-runners for much of the race before finishing sixth in class and eighth overall. In the same class, by contrast, the number 04 HP-TECH Motorsport car, driven by Scott Andrews and Tony Davis, endured an unlucky race and completed only four laps.
The high point came in the Am class, where Scuderia Corsa’s number 67 296 GT3, with Jon Morley and Mitchell Green at the wheel, came out on top in a contest between Prancing Horse cars. They finished ninth overall, ahead of the number 163 driven by Jay Schreibman and Benny Simonsen.
The series now heads to Barber Motorsports Park for its penultimate round from 25 to 27 September 2026.
GT America. The increasingly impressive Tony Davis claimed a double podium at Road America, securing second and third place at the wheel of HP-TECH Motorsport’s number 4 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo. Marc Muzzo, meanwhile, finished sixth in both races aboard R. Ferri Motorsport’s number 13 car, while Tony Ferraro took ninth and eighth aboard Ferraro Motorsport’s number 26 entry.
GT America returns to action at Barber Motorsports Park for the penultimate round of the season from 25 to 27 September 2026.
GT World Challenge Asia. Harmony Racing’s number 96 Ferrari 296 GT3, driven by China’s Liu Kaishun alongside David Chen, also continued its rich vein of form at Okayama in Japan. Following its victory at Fuji, the car took third place in Race-1 before winning the Silver class in the weekend’s second race, finishing in fifth place overall. It is increasingly in title contention ahead of the final two rounds of the season.
Among the other Ferraris on track, Apex Predator Harmony Racing’s number 72 296 GT3, crewed by Song Jiajun and Brendon Leitch, finished fourth in the Pro-Am class in Race-2, ahead of the number 60 of Shigekazu Wakisaka and Ryo Ogawa. Both cars had been forced to retire from the first race.
Finally, Cold Max and Yamatatsu made their Am class debut with a double podium, taking second and third place in Garage 75’s number 75 Ferrari 296 GT3.
The penultimate round of the series takes place at the Beijing street circuit over the weekend of 2 to 4 October.
Japan Cup. Ferrari claimed a one-two finish in the second race as the Japanese series staged its penultimate round of the season at Okayama. Overall victory went to home team K-Tunes Racing, which made its competition debut with the number 96 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo driven by Kazunori Suenaga and Nirei Fukuzumi. After an unlucky Race-1, the pair made amends by crossing the line first, just over 3.5 seconds ahead of the number 555 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo of Maezawa Racing, which was returning to the competition. Yusaku Maezawa and Naoki Yokomizo were also among the front-runners in Race-1, finishing fourth overall. Akihiro Tsuzuki and Shintaro Kawabata, standout performers at the wheel of the number 1 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Hitotsuyama with CORNES RACING, finished ahead of them on that occasion, taking third place. They went on to finish fifth in Race-2.
Victory in the Am class went to another Ferrari, Ponos Racing’s number 45 296 GT3 Evo driven by Yorikatsu Tsujiko and Yusuke Yamasaki, who had been second in class in Race-1. The pair finished eighth and seventh overall in the two races.
The other two Prancing Horse cars in action over the weekend also delivered strong performances. K-Tunes Racing’s second car, the number 97 driven by Betty Chen and Shinichi Takagi, recorded sixth- and seventh-place finishes in the Pro-Am class, while Norik Racing’s number 181, driven by Norik and Taku Bamba, finished fifth and ninth in the same class.
The series returns to action in just two weeks, from 11 to 13 September, at Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
