Maranello, April 2026 – The Maranello manufacturer’s cars starred in GT3 and GT Cup at the opening round of the CIGT Sprint at Imola, with class victories also coming in France at Le Castellet in the Ultimate Cup Series and in Texas at COTA in GT World Challenge America. The Prancing Horse also secured podium finishes at the same Texan circuit in GT America.

Italian Gran Turismo Championship. Ferrari claimed six class victories at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola in the opening round of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint GT3 and GT Cup Championship. The Imola weekend proved perfect for Francesco Braschi and Jef Machiels in the number 51 Ferrari 296 GT3 in GT3 Pro Am. The Italian and the Belgian triumphed on Saturday and repeated the feat in the second race, a 50-minute-plus-one-lap contest. The Spirit of Race entry shared the class podium in Race-1 with the number 62 Double TT Racing entry of Lorenzo Ferrari and Gilles Renmans, who finished fourth in Race-2. It was a different story for the number 50 Ferrari 296 GT3 with Rafael Duran and David Perel, also entered by Spirit of Race, which retired from Race-1. The Prancing Horse cars also stood out in the demanding Am class. The number 69 Ferrari 296 GT3 of Spirit of Race, crewed by Stefano Gai and Fabrizio Fontana, and the number 36 Team Target entry of Huilin Han both finished on the podium across both races at Imola, taking second and third places respectively.

Leonardo Gorini and Mattia Marchiante narrowly missed second place in both Race-1 and Race-2 in the number 26 Easy Race Ferrari 296 GT3, while Gino Forgione and Michele Rugolo recorded seventh- and sixth-place finishes in the number 21 Spirit of Race Ferrari 296 GT3. The Swiss outfit also claimed seventh place on Sunday with Zlad Ghandour in the number 52 after a Race-1 retirement.

Zanasi Racing and Spirit of Race added two more victories in Emilia-Romagna, both in the First Division Am class. Luca Demarchi and Victor Briselli stood out in Race-1 in the number 211 Ferrari 296 Challenge, while Sunday brought victory for the number 282 Ferrari 296 Challenge of Michele Rugolo and Willem van der Vorm.

Despite that, the AF Corse USA drivers finished fourth in their class. The next round, another three-hour race, takes place on Saturday 9 May at the iconic Sebring International Raceway in Florida.
